The event was organized at Ashfield Town Hall on the 1st of Nov, 1988. The event was largely supervised by Arijit Sen, Rina Mitra and Abu Riyad Khan. The artwork in display mostly belonged to the Indian and Bangladesh artists. Salil Chowdhury Nite

This was an exclusive event on the music maestro and included Bengali and Hindi songs composed by the legend, supporting dance arrangements to those songs and recitation of the poems written by the musician. Abhijit Sarkar, Gargi Mukherjee and Sirajul Salekin from Bangladesh featured in the list of artists.
